Microsoft is creating a revolutionary system to fundamentally change the way Windows is Shipping

Microsoft has already developed a cloud platform called Azure and it already has thousands of organizations and partners working on that platform, developing apps and carrying out a number of other actions and activities using this platform. Still, this is only the beginning and now Microsoft is said to be working on an absolutely new product with the help of which Windows will have the chance to be presented as a service. This means that 1^st and 3^rd party service providers will be able to build on the newest Windows as a Service platform.

So the official job description for the team developing this system states the following:

We are a team focused on developing services that will power Microsoft’s ability to offer Windows as a Service. You will help will build the software platform that allow 1st and 3rd party service providers to onboard their services on to the Microsoft’s new consumer membership program. You will prototype and develop services that connect partners with consumers to offer an integrated Microsoft membership experience. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams within Microsoft to strive toward the common goal of delighting our customers through the membership service.

Recently we also saw another job description on Microsoft career site, which stated the following:

The world of software evolves at a faster and faster pace. Online services are shipping every week, why not client software? What would it take to modify the windows start menu on every Windows user machine in less than a week? To issue a video driver fix and to offer all the people who have run into issues it in less than 2 days? How do you help every developer test his changes at large scale and provide him the exact information he needs to debug obscure issues that never happen on any of his machines? If any of these problems seem interesting to you, Windows mission control might be the right place for you.

The Mission Control team is seeking a strong developer to help advance the state of client software delivery. We are creating a new system that will fundamentally change the way Windows is shipping to put the ecosystem at the center of Windows. We want every engineer to get an immediate view of how he/she is affecting the Windows ecosystem by providing qualitative and quantitative information that will allow them to take the necessary decisions in real time.

As you may see this is another post of software engineer who is also supposed to develop and apply new system update quickly and efficiently, without any major intervention in the background and this does sound both challenging and cool.

So once more we need to wait and see the further development of the Windows and Microsoft being sure that these updates will also influence the Windows Phone development, opening some new perspectives for its further progress and expansion.
